About Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy

Intake &

Preparation

We'll help determine if this treatment is a good fit for you both medically and psychologically.

You'll learn about ketamine, how to make the best use of your treatment, and set intentions for your healing.

We'll discuss what to expect day-of both logistically and psychologically.

We'll collaborate with your primary talk therapist, psychiatrist, primary care, and other medical doctors.

Get Started

Medicine Sessions

A typical medicine session takes place in-person and lasts between 3-4 hours. The first hour is focused on getting settled and revisiting intentions.

The medicine is most active for about two hours, during which you'll typically be in a comfortable reclined position listening to curated music with an optional eye-mask. Although the session may be mostly an internal experience, your therapist is present the entire time to provide support as needed.

The final hour allows you recovery time and you may start to share if you choose.

Please arrange for a ride home, as you may not drive afterwards.

Integration

"The work begins."

After every medicine session, you will meet with your therapist to review the memories, thoughts, feelings, and insights that you experienced.

We'll help you clarify meaning and weave insights and changes into your daily life.

We assess progress, dosing, and how to space out future medicine sessions.

We start preparing for future sessions.

Hello and welcome!

I'm excited to share with you my passion for accelerating and deepening talk therapy.

What I love most about psychedelic therapy is its ability to empower you to direct your healing and connect with your own inner potential for long-lasting positive change. You are your own best healer.

You can expect a warm, compassionate, holistic, and collaborative approach to help you take steps towards a life in deep resonance with your values.

Ketamine work often allows us to discover and focus closely on what's most important for you as a unique individual.

A typical treatment course involves an intake, at least 3 preparation sessions, 1-3 medicine sessions (lasting 3-4 hours in person), with integration sessions in between. The number of sessions, timing, and dosing are all highly individualized.

The medicine is given as an intramuscular injection (like a flu shot) or sublingual lozenge (that dissolves under your tongue).

Alongside ketamine psychotherapy, I also work in medication management, crisis residential programs, inpatient hospital care, and consulting for primary care physicians.

I received my MD at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed residency training in Psychiatry at Stanford School of Medicine with a fellowship in psychodynamic psychotherapy.
