Holistic psychiatry helps you make the healthiest choices for you!

Services

First visit $800 for 120 min

All visits are $400 for 60 min

Each visit can include any combination of these approaches!

Therapy

I’ll get to know you and recommend which talk therapy styles you may find most helpful.

Our approach can be intuitively tailored to what you need at the time, or more structured (workbooks, homework assignments).

If this is a style I have experience with, we can work together. If not, I can help you find a therapist who is a great fit.

Healthy Lifestyle

Sleep. Nutrition. Movement.

Connection. Spirituality. Meaning.

The building blocks of a healthy mind and life.

Mind-Body Skills

Meditation. Yoga. Breathing.

Get help taking small, achievable steps that make the most sense for your unique situation.

Psychiatry

Starting with a detailed intake form, I can help with diagnostic evaluation or a second-look at your past diagnoses.

We can discuss options for treatment including starting, stopping, changing, or reducing medications.

Medications can be helpful when used carefully, with discernment.

We can also discuss herbs, supplements, and other methods.

Psychedelic

Integration & Consultation

This can include integration therapy, medication counseling, risk reduction, and answering your questions.

Major experiences can also come from other non-ordinary states of consciousness: near-death experiences, dreams, retreats, or practices (like breathing, yoga, meditation, drumming, fasting, sensory-deprivation).

I can help you start to make sense of intense experiences and how you’d like to make them a part of your life going forward.

This can be a part of talk therapy.

I can answer questions and offer suggestions for safety.

Because each situation is unique, I can only offer personalized advice on how to reduce your risk to my own patients.

A note on psychedelic psychiatry:

I am dedicated to providing compassionate care, including consultation, risk reduction education, and integration therapy for psychedelic or transformational experiences you may have had elsewhere.

At this time, I do not prescribe psychedelics and I cannot provide referrals for these therapies, apart from ketamine.

Currently, I am no longer taking new patients for ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.

I am able to recommend a few trusted local ketamine-assisted psychotherapy clinicians in Palo Alto and San Diego area.

This has been placed on pause while I broaden my skillset to focus on psilocybin facilitation within UCSD research studies and contribute to our Western evidence-based knowledge base.

However, I’m happy to bring what I am learning into our work together!

This can include medication counseling, risk reduction, answering your questions, and integration therapy.

While research is in its early stages, there are legal avenues for psychedelic care when appropriate - such as ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, research studies, compassionate-use programs, international training programs for clinicians, and retreats in certain states and countries.

I do not provide or prescribe any illegal substances or psychedelics, nor do I promote or condone any illegal activities.

Your safety and well-being are my top priorities.

Dr. Pop seemed to really care about my situation and was very understanding, which is very reassuring.”
